The Pieces
There are six different pieces that you start out with in chess, goin from lowest to hihgest, a pawn, a Rook, a Knight, a Bishop, a Queen, and a King. Now that was in point value not in values of the game becuase in the game of chess each piece has its own advantages and flaws.
The Pawn
The pawn is a small infantry like piece you start out with eight of these and all of them are on the front row of your army.
The Rook
The Rook is a castle like piece that starts out in each bottom corner of your setup.
The Knight
The Knight is a selfexplanitory piece, and you start out with two of these next to each of the rooks. But it has a different way of moving, which i will explain on the moves page.
The Bishop
The Bishop is a religious piece and looks alot like the pawn but larger, you also start out with two of these and these are next to the knights.
The Queen
The Queen one of the higest in royalty, besides the king, is seen as one of the most valuable pieces to most beginers and is actually the highest valued piece in the points played chess game. One reason it might be so valuable is that there is only one queen at the beginning of the game.
The King
The King is the highest and the most valuable piece in the game seeing how you lose the second your king is captured.
